JIF-BREAD

Have you ever chosen something or someone you decided later you really didn’t want? That is one of the many problems we have… we tend to be choosy about our choices and then we sometimes renege on them.

We do not get to choose to be born. We don’t get to choose our siblings or our parents. When we are growing up as a child, we don’t get to choose where we live either. We don’t even get to choose our neighbors!

But at some point in our lives we get to make choices. At times our choices are bad ones and every now and then we make good choices. I made the choice to accept Jesus as my personal Saviour. It was a conscious decision, but at times I act like I never made that choice. There are times when the things I say and do don’t represent the choice of making Jesus my personal Saviour.

I thank God that He is not that way with us. God has chosen to love us unconditionally, even when we are errant in our ways. Remember that when we feel like Jesus doesn’t love us or is dissatisfied with us, He doesn’t renege on His choice to love us. God is not choosy people. God has chosen us to be His children and to love us always.

So get up on your feet and accept that God has chosen to love you and there is no reneging on that.

John 15:16
“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”

2 Thessalonians 2:13
“But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth,”
